Peak Workforce Solutions (Newbold) is seeking an Continuous Improvement Engineer for our client in Western NC.  This is an immediate, direct hire opportunity. Relocation will not be paid. 

The Continuous Improvement Engineer will be working throughout the entire production facility utilizing their lean manufacturing and process improvement experience to facilitate production efficiencies by way of project recommendations.  They will provide training in Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S to employees and leadership. They will host monthly or bi-monthly Kaizen burst events designed to create a constant awareness of continuous improvement. They will also be responsible for leading workshops with the Engineering team and production team on helpful resources and tools.

Duties:

•    Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiment (DOE), and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA). 
•    SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD experience is preferred. 
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
•    Ability to effectively communicate with every level of the organization.

Qualifications:

•    8+ years experience with Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher is preferred).
•    Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Engineering and experience in a manufacturing or lab environment. Industrial Engineering degree a plus.
•    4+ Years leadership experience with Kaizen events

•    Hands-on experience of process engineering within a production facility.
•    Excellent project management skills and facilitation skills.
•    Familiarity with Japanese lean and continuous improvement concepts as well as A3 structure for proposal writing.
